The YNR Professional Ring Bending & Jewellery Forming Pliers are specialist hand pliers for forming controlled curves in suitable jewellery-making metals. A rounded convex jaw works against a matching recessed concave jaw, helping to guide metal stock into a curved shape for ring-making and detailed metal-forming tasks.

With long, tapered forming jaws, a box-style pivot joint and curved blue comfort-grip handles, this single hand tool is intended for jewellery workshops, silversmithing benches, ring and bracelet projects and suitable hobby metalwork. These are forming pliers, not cutting or ordinary flat-jaw pliers.

How to use the forming jaws

Position a suitable metal strip, ring shank or wire section between the matched curved jaw profiles. Apply gentle, even hand pressure and make small adjustments to form the required curve. Work progressively and check the result as you go. Metal hardness, thickness and temper affect the amount of force needed; no guaranteed metal thickness or hardness capacity has been specified for this tool.

Care and safety

Wipe the jaws and handles after use, dry thoroughly and store in a clean, dry tool case or drawer. Keep the pivot clear of debris and inspect the jaw faces before use. Do not use these pliers as cutters or for bending unsuitable heavy stock. Protect finished jewellery surfaces with an appropriate non-marring barrier where needed, since exposed metal jaws may mark soft or polished workpieces.
